A day in the life of…
March 28, 2009
What a fun day I had today with the Ioannou family. Dena and Pavlos, two of my best friends from high school, asked me to photograph their family. They have been together for twenty years and have three amazingly bright and sweet children, Kyriakos, Constantinos and Christos. I fell in love with all three instantly!
Below are some of my favorite images:
Little Christos
Showing me his favorite toys
Constantinos and Kyriakos wearing with pride their favorite soccer team’s scarves
Getting ready for the park
Soccer is Kyriakos’ favorite sport. He goes for training on a weekly basis. Although Constantinos loves the theater more, he doesn’t say ‘no’ to playing with his older brother.
Is that ball stuck to Kyriakos’ back or what?
Oops… Constantinos picking up the ball from a puddle in which he ‘accidentally’ kicked it.
Pavlos playing around with Constantinos and Kyriakos… Where did Christos go?
Kyriakos: smart, amazing soccer player, outstanding character!
Constantinos: loves the camera, is a people’s person and has the sweetest smile:)
Heading back home. Mom is waiting for us all.
Constantinos changing clothes after his little ‘adventure’.
One last shot before we let the kids go. Dena and Pavlos can’t have enough of each other even after 20 years of marriage and another 7 years of being classmates!
Classy and elegant

I had the opportunity last night to cover a classical concert performed by nine great musicians, the Diamante Chamber Ensemble. They performed Rossini’s Overture from the Barber of Seville and Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Symphony No.7, two classical masterpieces. For obvious reasons the photographs were taken during the warming up session and not during the actual concert.
Below are some images of the whole group as well as some individual portraits.

Welcoming Spring
March 2, 2009
What better way to welcome Spring by going on a trip with one of your best friends?! And this is exactly what Elena and me did yesterday. We made our way to Zygi, a village only 40 minutes away from the center of Nicosia.
The scenery was simply superb throughout our drive… the Cyprus fields turned green from the bountiful rain and the afternoon sun was glittery gold. The images below are a reflection of how we spent the day.
Below: On the highway heading for Limassol
Stopping in a meadow to enjoy the scenery and have some fun shooting silly photos… Elena as “George of the Jungle”?
Me in “The Sound of Music”
Setting the camera on self-timer
Meeting our friends (including Benchi their dog) and heading for the sea!
Stella and Benchi crossing the road
The whole gang at the beach
A car “tied” to a metal tower?!
“Elena, please nooooooo!!!”
Maria and Elena looking for something?
Could this be a fossil of old?
